To enter, the Family
Adventure in Ontario Parks Contest (the "Contest")
starting at 12:01 seconds a.m. EST on April 1,
2005, complete the official entry form via the
Internet at www.paddlingontario.com. Only
one entry per email address or phone number allowed
during the entire promotional period. In the event
it is discovered that a contestant attempted to
enter more than once, all of that contestant's
entries will be void. All entries must be received
by 11:59:59 p.m. EST September 30, 2005 (the "Contest
Closing Date"). All eligible entries received
by the Contest Closing Date will be included for
the draw. The Paddling Ontario Alliance and participating
member companies (the "Contest Sponsors"),
Ontario Parks, the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership
Corporation will not be responsible for late,
lost, misdirected, incomplete or destroyed entries.
The
Grand Prize — There will be one
(1) Grand Prize available to be won, consisting
of a vacation package for a family group of up
to 4 people. The contest winner will select one
of three available trips listed on the contest
entry page with Paddling Ontario Alliance tour
operators. Approximate retail value is $ 2 500
CDN or $2 000 USD (based on current exchange rate.
Exchange rate subject to change.) Meals, accommodations
(camping / camping-lodge combo’s), experienced
guiding services, all required outdoor paddling
and camping equipment are included with all these
paddling experiences. Available 2006 dates and
further inclusions such as transportation and
greater customization vary between each package
and are subject to offers provided in detailed
descriptions linked to this page. TRANSPORTATION
TO/FROM WINNERS RESIDENCE TO/FROM THE AIRPORT
DEPARTURE POINT WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.
The
Grand Prize winner, who must be of the age of
majority in their province or state of residence,
will be responsible for obtaining for themselves
and up to 3 travel companions, any required travel
and health documents and insurance, and paying
for incidentals, gratuities, taxes (not including
the prize products) and all other expenses not
specifically mentioned above. The winner and his/her
travel companions must be able to travel legally
to/from Ontario. Grand Prize, which must be used
between June 1, 2006 and August 31, 2006 or it
will be forfeited, is subject to availability
and some black out periods may apply. Odds of
winning depend on the number of eligible entries
received. For US residents any income tax payable
on the Grand Prize is the sole responsibility
of the winner.
The Draw — A random draw will be held on
or about 2 p.m. EST Monday October 3, 2005 in
Toronto, Ontario from all eligible entries received
to award the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize selected
entrant will be contacted by email or telephone,
within 14 days of the draw. Contest Sponsor is
not responsible for change of email, mailing address
or telephone number of the Grand Prize selected
entrant. In order to win, any selected entrant
must be eligible according to the official rules.
In the event a selected entrant cannot be contacted
within 14 days of Grand Prize notification, or
if any prize notification is returned as undeliverable,
or the selected entrant is disqualified, the prize
will be forfeited and another entrant will be
chosen. The winner (who must both be age of majority
in their province or state of residence) and their
travel companions will be required to sign a standard
Declaration and Liability Release form to release
and hold harmless the Contest Sponsors, their
directors, employees, officers and agents, including
without limitation its advertising and promotion
agencies, the independent contest judging organization
and Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario
from any injury, loss or damage of any kind to
persons, including death or property damage resulting
in whole or in part directly or indirectly from
acceptance, receipt, possession, use or misuse
of Grand Prize, participation in any Contest-related
activity or participation in Contest including
any travel related thereto.
Eligibility — The Contest is open
to all legal residents of Canada (excluding
Quebec) who have reached the age of majority
in their province of residence and is open to
all legal residents of the continental United
States (excluding Florida),
who have reached the age of majority in their
state of residence at the contest start date.
Contest excludes employees (and persons with whom
they are domiciled) and member company owners
of the Contest Sponsors (Including Paddling Ontario,
Ontario Parks and OTMP), its advertising and promotional
agencies, the independent contest judging organization
and the Ontario Public Service. This Contest is
subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial,
Municipal and State laws and regulations. All
decisions of the independent contest judging organization
are final and the Contest Sponsor and the independent
contest judging organization shall not be held
responsible for any accident, negligence, printing,
administrative or other errors that may arise
or occur in connection with the Contest. The Contest
Sponsors reserve the right to modify, amend or
terminate this Contest with no obligation or liability
if due to fraud, virus, bugs or other causes beyond
the control of the Contest Sponsor corrupt the
administration, security or proper play of the
game, subject to applicable law. By entering this
contest, the entrant agrees that the courts of
the Province of Ontario, Canada shall have jurisdiction
to entertain any action or other legal proceedings
based on any provision of these rules or the running
of this Contest. The entrant hereby irrevocably
atorns to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts
of the Province of Ontario. By participating in
this Contest, each entrant and his/her travel
companion agrees to fully indemnify the Contest
Sponsor and it's directors, officers, employees,
agents and Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario
from any and all claims by third parties without
limitation.
All entries become the property of the Contest
Sponsors upon receipt and will not be returned.
No responsibility will be taken for any failure
of the web site during the promotion or for any
problems or technical malfunction of a telephone
network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers,
access providers, computer equipment, software,
failure of any e-mail, on-line Internet or telephone
entry to be received by the Contest Sponsors due
to technical problems or traffic congestion on
the Internet or at any web site, or any combination
thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s
or any other person's computer related to or resulting
from playing or downloading any material in the
promotion. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right,
in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this
Contest should a virus, bug or any other cause
beyond the reasonable control of the Contest Sponsor
corrupt the security or proper administration
of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage
any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation
of this promotion is a violation of criminal and
civil laws, and should such an attempt be made,
the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to seek
remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted
by law - including criminal prosecution. Entries
are subject to verification and will be declared
invalid if they are altered or tampered with in
any way. Entries that are inaudible or unintelligible
will be disqualified. The Contest Sponsor assumes
no responsibility for human or technical error
in the transmission or receipt of phone entries.
The winner releases the Contest Sponsor, its directors,
employees, officers and agents, including without
limitation its advertising and promotion agencies,
and Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario
from any and all liability, loss or damage incurred
with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession,
and/or use or misuse of any prize, including any
travel related thereto. The Contest Sponsor reserves
the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate
the Contest or to amend or modify the official
rules at any time without prior notice, for any
reason whatsoever.
In the event of a dispute regarding the identity
of the person submitting an electronic or telephone
entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted
by the "authorized account holder" in
whose name the email account / telephone is registered,
provided that person meets all eligibility criteria
set forth in the Eligibility section of these
Official Rules. "Authorized Holder"
shall mean the natural person assigned to an email
address / telephone number, by an Internet Access
provider, on-line service provider, telephone
service provider or other organization (e.g.,
business, educational institution, etc.) that
is responsible for assigning email addresses for
the domain associated with the submitted email
address / or for assigning numbers for the telephone
account associated with the submitted telephone
number. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right
at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual
(and all of his or her Contest entries) who tampers
with the entry process.

Adventure in Ontario Parks Contest Win List at
the address below, no later than September 30,
2005. Win list will be sent after a confirmed
winner is declared.
