These weekend canoe trips begin with a slide show and discussion of the Algonquin Park Wolves, recent studies of wolf ecology and efforts to conserve and protect this treasured species of Algonquin. Learn about the world of the wolf and a little about yourself as we travel into an easily accessible area that is a home to an Algonquin wolf pack.
On our weekend canoe trip, we'll paddle the misty morning lakes and walk on forest trails taking in the beautiful fall colours searching for signs of woodland creatures who call this area their home. Each evening we gather at the lakefront to belt out your best wolf howl and wait in silence for the spine-tingling response of nearby Algonquin Park wolves. Adult wolves and new-born pups occasionally join the chorus.
Over the past six years we've had excellent success stimulating wolf howls from a nearby Algonquin Park wolf pack; wolf howl responses, however, are not guaranteed. Tracking Skills will be learned and practiced and soon, you'll be adept at tracking all sorts of Algonquin Park creatures.

Journey from Kawawaymog Lake to North Tea Lake and explore Biggar Lake - Three Mile Lake and Manitou Lakes. We'll take our time enjoying the colours on the portages and appreciate the deep colours of sunset and sunrise at the edge of the day.
Waterfalls and forest trails at the peak of Algonquin Park's fall colours are at their peak with gold of birch and crimson reds and oranges of the sugar maples. The days are cooler and some mornings there will be frost on the ground, but there are no other words to describe the beauty of canoeing in Algonquin Park at this time of year.
