Algonquin Crossing is about going back in time….. a time before there were railways and roads for travel, a time when the waterways were the highways and traditional people navigated this scenic and beautiful country that we now know as Algonquin Park by canoe.
There is a serenity and calmness that pours over us as we leave the crowds behind and venture deeper into the forest. Our rhythms begin to match those of the natural world around us and we become more aware of the life and vitality of nature. This trip offers opportunities to view wildlife in their natural habitat with the potential to see moose, beaver, wolf, bear, otter, various waterfowl species, songbirds and many others. Alexis Burnett shares a wealth of information about the local flora and fauna of the park and together you will weave a story of your ‘crossing’. Algonquin Crossing
