Algonquin Family trips combine a classic Algonquin canoe trip with a few days at the Algonquin Log Cabin. This family getaway is an excellent way to introduce the wilderness to your children and have some fun at the same time. Family trips have two guides, which provide more options for kids and parents!
The Algonquin Family Adventure is for people at any level of experience. Our pace is very relaxed, as the trip objective is to have fun, look for wildlife, swim, and enjoy the Algonquin environment. Distance is not our focus as we take plenty of time to learn how to paddle, portage and have loads of time to swim in the clean fresh water. Campsites are spectacular and offer great opportunities to see and hear wildlife. Relax at night with tasty backcountry cuisine and fireside stories.
The canoe trip ends and we transfer to the Algonquin Log cabin for showers, sauna , cold drinks and bbq feast ! The Log Cabin is our home for the last two days where we paddle, hike and fish by day and enjoy rustic comfort in the evening.
