Description:
PaddleFoot believes in the importance of providing everyone the opportunity to experience the beauty, wonder and excitement of the natural world. Local student groups and organisations from around the world have experienced our unique program.
Program co-ordinators meet with your group to plan your excursion, in order to meet your special needs and curriculum objectives. Through experiential education we emphasize the value of co-operation, communication, and contribution in group interaction. We aim to develop personal and technical skills which promote self-awareness.
Our programs take place in various locations; each one is custom designed for that group (Algonquin, Temagami, Killarney). Most programs for larger groups include an "in-camp" session for the entire group, and a wilderness trip where the group is split into smaller units.
Here are just some of the different activities we offer:
Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Initiative games, Interpretative walks, wildlife viewing and ecology, stars & night sky, birch-bark journals, international campfire, back to basics arts & crafts, story-telling, night solos, kayaking, deep woods sauna, animal tracking, water & soil testing.
Education programs can be as short as one-day classroom projects to week-long canoe or ski trips. Custom programs can be arranged to directly complement your current curriculum. Programs are best suited for grades five and up.
Make PaddleFoot the vehicle for your school's Outdoors Program. Come and experience weekend canoe or hiking trips on Canada's historic trails and waterways.
