All of our Rock Island Lodge-based adventures are suitable for beginner to expert paddlers and outdoors people, as well as families. They are a perfect way to add a little fun and excitement to your romantic getaway or family vacation on Lake Superior.
Naturally Superior Adventures' Paddling Center and Rock Island Lodge are located on the eastern Lake Superior coast, near Wawa, Ontario, Canada.
Our lodge is located just north of Lake Superior Provincial Park, across from Michipicoten Island Provincial Park, adjacent the Lake Superior Highlands Conservation Reserve and Pukaskwa National Park. It is a small Bed and Breakfast with 4 private rooms each with an en suite bath. Each room has a Superior view and is no farther that 20m from Superior's shore.
From our lodge, Naturally Superior Adventures' Paddling Center offers day programs and packages including sea kayak and canoe instruction and rentals, guided single and multi day trips, shuttles and self guided hiking excursions in and outside of Lake Superior Park and the Wawa area.

Two-Day Package: $146/pp (2 person minimum)
Get a taste of sea kayaking Lake Superior with this overnight getaway. Includes one night accommodation in the lodge (with breakfast) and choice of Sea Kayak Basics or Sea Kayak Day Trip. Both options include lunch.
Three-Day Package $237/pp (2 person minimum)
Get out for a day on Lake Superior and a day on a boreal forest trail with this package, perfect for a weekend retreat. Two nights in the lodge (with breakfast) and choice of Sea Kayak Basics or Sea Kayak Day Trip (with lunch) and self-guided day hike on the Voyageur Trail (with shuttle and lunch).
Five-Day Package $394/pp (2 person minimum)
Experience the best of Rock Island Lodge's wilderness backyard in comfort with this exciting five-day holiday package. Includes four nights in the lodge (with breakfast) and three activities: Sea Kayak Basics or Sea Kayak Day Trip, self-guided day hike on the Voyageur Trail, self-guided canoe tour on the Michipicoten River. All activities include lunch, equipment and vehicle shuttles.
